I'm wondering where the flat list option should get in the UI. I was seeing it like an option of hierarchy treeview, but it could be a new mode like how you've done it. Also, the selection set makes me drool. The way you could hide and freeze object there too is cool, i didn't think about it. But more important, direct…
Hey dudez thanks for the feedback. Ferg, I tried flipping the Y channel to no avail. I think I had way more problems than I could have imagined! Respawnrt, Thank you so much for the paint over! I'm just getting a feel for how many polys I need to make a good bake, and you are right I probably could cut out some more. I cut…
Thanks again @somedoggy, that input will come in handy. I tried it out in my environment, but I toned it down a bunch because I felt the particles were kind of drowning out the texture detail. Also, sorry for the long delay between updates again, was in a bit of a crunch mode at work and didn't have too much energy to…
Yeah I've changed mine a little now (will post new pic later if I do some more work on it) and now it's smoother with more curvy designs like in the boots, and yeah it's an improvement. The chestplate was a cheap fill-in, I couldn't think of anything to put there and I still can't, but I'm scribbling on it and will…
Rotate Snap settings are in the Tool settings windows. Have your Rotate Tool selected and turn on Step Snap, set Relative, set the angle to increment your rotation snapping. You'll need to place your pivot where you want to rotate as usual. If you are more after snapping all the vertecies when rotating, that is a harder…
Wow, this is incredible! My first thought was that it could easily be mistaken for an actual shot from the movie. 😮 The attention to detail, especially the subtle wear on the books, is really impressive! I’d love to see a few closer shots of the individual props, there’s so much craftsmanship here that deserves to be…
Hey, EDIT: Solved myself. Object properties and disable vertex ticks! I would be thankful if someone could help me with the following problem: On the left is the problematic object and on the right is a test cube without active vertices. I have tried following: 1. Turn off vertices in the modify tab under selection 2.…
Thanks for the crits guys. Here's an update on teh face. I'll be moving on to the body now but I'm sure I'll continue to noodle on the face throughout the process. @Torch Thanks man I hope he has more of that dreary/forlorn look this time @M4rt3 You're right about sculpting the moustache but it was just there to help me…
Sweet stuff so far, man! The model looks awesome and there's already a nice improvement from the first to second GIF. I was thinking that if you made the fact that he's a garganto hunk of metal man and super heavy more apparent, it'd feel nicer (might involve a slower gait, but not sure). What kinda came up in my mind was…
Looking good so far - I love the rocks. With regards to lighting, you could try getting in some classic complimentary colours, such as making the sunlight a bit more yellow or orange and the shadows a deep blue (View > World Properties > Lightmass > Environment Colour). Generally, outdoor shadows are the colour of your sky…
