I've made some adjustments to the overall layout of the scene. Currently I am working on a computer desk to place in the scene, and some plates/silverware. Still have a lot of placeholders (like the fireplace) to swap out, just making slow and steady progress as I figure out UE4.
Really cool, maybe try to layout the props in the back better, it feel kinda noisy, but overall it's great ! And you should add some bevel on some edge, feel kinda low poly, even if it's just a concept you don't have to worry about polycount and stuff. Cheers!
The UV's on the high don't matter, its only the UV layout on the low poly that matters. There are some very specific cases you would want to unwrap the high but this is not one of them. What it's doing is creating geometry between the seams, it attaches each new face to its neighboring seams.
I think you should work on your textures more. Everything ranging from pixel density to detail, etc. I'm not sure how your UV layouts are. You should probably include texture flats in your portfolio or on here for a more detailed crit by us polycounters.
Awesome crits guys keep them coming, i decided to make wooden board decals to put on my windows so that i can mix and match like you guys said :) update: After i get a the basic layout done im going to throw this into ut3 :)
The feet you've added are very bunched up in the middle of the craft, it looks as if it could quite easily fall on it's side. Also the triangular layout of the feet would look more practical if the centre foot was a more substantial than the other two. Think more snowmobile and less reliant robin :)
Great site, I really like your layout. Your work looks great as well. I'm not sure, but it feels like your characters proportions are a little off. The characters feel like they are a little short, giving them sort of a dwarf feel. I could be wrong though.
After living with it a few days it has grown on me. I like the colors and the layout. Over all I like it, it works better than before. It would be nice to see some finishing touches/graphics put in place where it looks like they left in the default templete graphics.
Hey took in the suggestions, in terms of website layout, and reworked the website and would love some more feedback. I know my content still sucks, I'll be trying to updating things over the next few weeks. I will be putting a title and closing sequence on the animation pieces. Thanks
Final renders looks great! Nice work. The normal map needs to be re-rendered like Richard pointed out. I think it the top piece could use 1-2 loops to help round it out, maybe even model in divots. Or it could be the distortion on the UV layout that is causing the wonkiness?
