I had some problems with Blender using the default *.obj import script,- and found another one on the net that was written with pyton. Just that you know some people had problems with it before and added another import script.
Yeah keep it up man, you're rockin it. Thanks for the new updates. Was also wondering if you could make the camera clipping adjustable for closer inspection of meshes, or just change the default to allow for more up close viewing.
Make sure you're arc-rotate setting is set to "sub-object". This should be the default, in my opinion, but isn't. It's the second button from the right of the screen at the very bottom. Hold the mouse button down on it and select the last option.
oh ok i see, awesome! so they would use it for like a face animation so the wrinkles show up when they smile or w/e, then go away when expression returns to default. thats pretty cool.
green channel looks inverted (if you're using max's default settings) The green channel should be pointing down and it looks like it's pointing up, open the normal map in photoshop, go to green channel Image->Adjustments->Invert
the orange and the comic font at the bottom kind of destroy the picture - maybe pick something less distractive ? All the renderings are way to dark - add more light and give warm lights a shot dont leave it with default white lights
I imported mine from the first game and didn't recognize him at all. there's been too much marketing with the other shepard so I just used the default lol. Was so used to him that he became the shepard
Great stuff. I really like the old stuff on there. Not sure what's up with the chrome issue but fixing the size like shotgun said fixed it for me too. Maybe it's something with the default text of those cells? I dunno.
hmm photoshop?? Dunno for the first two but in the preference menu you can set up the scale of your "brush size slide". By default it scales the brush of one pixel, i personally set it up to 5. Hope that helps
Is this just for adding detail or are you having them be created by a vehicle? Gearbox used decals for their decorative tire tracks in BL3. Though I think they modified the decals, instead of using the default. https://youtu.be/R0-ynCTdCow?t=2498
