Thanks ZacD. Really, I think this is by far the most helpful 3D forum I've ever asked a question in. And I mean helpful without the sting of sarcasm you get at other places. Thanks to everyone that replied in this thread.
@ZacD The car might be black and white or greenyellow or dark red maybe @BringMeASunkist The KTM has a supersexy dune buggy version named AX with the same sharp futuristic look. I think I should go with that one.
Thanks I will keep that in mind. Yeah I understand the practice, i tend to start and then stop, i have so many just started things. Not sure if I have ADD or something or what not but. And thanks ZacD for the links!
32282 is my high score over the three runs. 13560 is the longest I've gotten in one. ZacD, I hope you are just naturally really good at this game and didn't just spend a ton of time playing it...:poly122:
@rockguy: For those uncomfortable with a figure statue, ZacD said it best. You could easily replace it with something more simple. For those wanting more of a challenge you can easily complicate it as well. It's a win, win either way.
Yup, what ZacD said. Split ur UVs on all 90 degree angled faces and make those edges hard...then bake. Your bake should be clean with little to no discoloration like you have now.
ZacD you were right, had hard edges on those edges. After smoothing them the seams dissapeared. But now I am having another problem. I'm getting some black artifacts on some faces.
@ZacD: Unless The Orer 1866 has something hidden up it's gameplay sleeve, it's going to survive only on story. Hopefully it does well like Wolfenstein: The New Order, which was surprisingly actually good and thematically sound.
@ZacD That's what I thought, I mean, some of the Gnomon DVD's are pretty pricey, and you would get to see all the trial and error, the creative process, everything, at least if it was done how this guy plans on doing it.
I agree with ZacD (and a few others now that I'm reading through this thread). I think a solo-only contest would be more appealing for newbies such as myself who don't really know many people on Polycount.
