But wouldn't you be forced to do without normal maps, emissive maps, blending between textures, etc.? Then again, I don't know how capable streetview has become ;-)
You don't even see most of the transformations in that video. Looks like a lot of off-screen model swaps most of the time, and some blend shapes, bone scaling, etc.
Since loops are all the rage these days, I looped up an old animation I was working on about a year ago. Nice break from scripting and blend trees, hah.
If you talk to an experienced 3D artist about the details of something you're working on, and they tell you to stop because it's making their brain bleed, you're probably a tech artist :p

Great idea to add the environment, though he looks a little lost in there as the colours seem to blend in.. still fantastic work. You should both do a face off render ^^,
actually, I had a look and it does seem to be around the edges of each patch adn bleeding into the centre. It's like a normals issue in max?????? How the damn can I fix this?
