Okay, here's a new attempt: The result in cryengine: Another angle: So is that looking more correct? The 2nd shot doesn't look right in the crevices. Is that because there should simply be black for the gloss there?
Haha, that looks great! Very original And I'm sure you'd be able to do that 2nd effect on the outlines by blending some sort of white noise map onto the black lines or something?
I'll try and be on tonight. I'm putting a 2nd computer together when I get home from work so that's going to take a while to get everything installed and updates dl'd.
I agree with everything Kanga has posted. The hand close to her face looks odd, especially the palm muscles and the wrist bone in the 2nd close up image. Good job with the texturing though.
Thank you guys. I chose the 2nd one. Here's the color plan and below is value I'm working on. Background is not final, i just put in a quick starry sky image for the mood
Instead of mirroring every once in awhile, it can be much easier to gauge the silhouette of your object if the 2nd half is duplicated as an instance of the first. This way both sides remain identical every second of the process.
2nd Part The
following images are shots of my work as a Level Artist on the opening Sequence
of the game. A mandate I shared with Vincent Derozier and Safy Saada. Lighting
done by Pierre Paul and Annie Dumais.
Another update for the day, high res is fully complete, maybe a few tweaks here and there, but off to low-res. The grey stripes of polys is just going to be stitching set up in a 2nd uv channel.
Hadn't heard this before, but loved Mirrors Edge. Really nice music to listen to. Thanks! <3 This remix is good too, it gets better towards the 2nd half :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91ayVevmnOE
you are judging me, but look at this: it's his 2nd one and it's obvious he hasn't grasped the shape. looking at things in real life helps. sorry if getting up from your armchair sounds tedious.
