one thing to consider is: dont judge your work against other student work, compare it to art you see in current games and try to analyze why the 2 are different. if your work doesn't look close or better than most mainstream games you are going to have a hard time beating the competition to a job. also, post your work… -

When I pass my light on dynamic, the problem is not present anymore. It's only when my mesh is on static, or stationary. I only use the default setting on UE4 from a new scene (Because I don't understand why in all of tutos or article on the net, people can have good lightmap at the begin of their project, and not me *-*).… -

I don't think the ancient village stereotype is negative in anyway. I've spent some time in the middle east, and part of the charm is how so much of ancient cultures has survived. Until the 50's, Afghanistan was a popular tourist destination because of it's old world charm. That's why europe is a popular place to visit too… -

I think you could be a bit more subtle with the bullet holes, and have them be focused in one area, so it creates a focal point. Also around that focal point have some large scale damage done to sell the effect. Right now the bullet holes are just reading as noise because they are everywhere and lacking any direction. If… -
