Looking into building a new system. I would like to know how efficiently Designer multi-threads on the CPU. For instance, can Designer take full use of a 16-core system, or would an 8-core system with faster per-core speed perform better?
having problems with low-quality normals: on the left, result after normalmapping. on the right, the object to be mapped. preceding pics shows various pictures of the low-poly mesh. any normalmap-savvy people got some tips on how to improve the quality of these normals? i'm using 3ds max 8 normalmapper.
