I bet Autodesk is eager to get the earlier version removed from active sale. If the store wants to continue selling Autodesk products, they can only sell the newest version(s). Or so it seems, basically impossible to find these older versions - even harder to find bargains.
@pablohurtado For someone who has never worked in the industry and struggling to get in, that really means a lot. Sometimes its hard to tell whether I'm getting anywhere with my pieces, and whether they are worth the continued effort. Small comments like that keep me pushing. Thanks man.
Yea you invade 2 countries, crash the global economy, propagate all kinds of unsustainable farming techniques and continually elect leaders based on who has the bigger ears and all of a sudden you're off the A list... pfft... what a way to start off a new millennium.
Okay, so I lied. I procrastinated putting this up, but here it is; Also, Ugh, triple posting... I hate it. Tell me what you guys think overall, I'm pretty happy with the continuity in style, I think I managed to maintain that pretty well :)
@Jeff Parrott You've given me lots to think about, In short I enjoy Environments & Hand Painting the most, it lets me be creative with what I do and doesn't constrain me. I think I will continue to aim for Environments & Hand Painted Props at this point.
you can also use "where" in your for loop, acts basically as a "if ... continue" inside :) example:for i = 1 to 10 where i > 5 do( print "neat")or on parsing arraysfor my_item in my_array where my_item.something_true() do( print "neat") it also works on while as well :)
Of course, if you have a continuous piece, you want to avoid ngons eventually. In a game mesh you wouldn't have those nice straight edge loops for example. You would triangulate everything and get rid of unnecessary vertices that do not contribute to the shape of your object
Err, looks like I get to buy Designer two times in two months since I bought it for Christmas. So close, but it still looks like some really cool features. Can't wait to see how Designer and Painter continue to grow and work together.
