Ah, but I was using environment probes, generated right in CryEngine. And to make things weirder, the errors stopped altogether, for no apparent reason. Of course, I'm not complaining.
It's fine if you get no errors! We have more info on optimal workflow here, along with reasons for each step. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Texture_Baking
Right, thats good to know as thats exactly the error that comes up is that it cant find that procedure. I'll drop the MEL in this evening and see if that will fix the issue.
Thanks Eric, I got an email back from the developers of the Perception Neuron and they said that it's an error with the exporter in their software. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.
BIG Update today ! ^^' I finished the Retopoly, UWs, and Backing (still some errors to correct here and there) Here it is : VERY Ugly preview : (color IDs)
Better thing is to adjust your workflow to avoid this problem. Reordering vertices is a time-consuming and error-prone job. But if you're stuck, check scriptspot.com for tools.
Equal merged objects generate lightmaps errors since they will be sharing the same UV space. Export them as separate objects and group them togheter in Unreal.
