Select your object inside Blender and under Object Tools -> Shading click the Smooth button. :)

Right click on the object, go into the object properties and check "Backface Cull". Should do the trick.

Each separate object creates more draw calls. So, you need less objects.

In Vray you can make any object glowing by changing it into light object or using VrayLightMtl.

right click on the object > object propertiers > and there turn edges only OFF then you will see them

Certainly at least for high-poly models, if it's made of separate objects in reality, modeling it as the separate objects.
