right. in future vehicles, you could possibly put 360 degree spherical CCD camera receiver thingys, or whatnot on the outside of the ships, which gives 1:1 image information to an OLED wallpapers inside a protected control module, that gives you 360 degree situational awareness. alternatively, you could be neurally wired… -

GL features an extension system, that allows hardware vendors to add new stuff themselves. This is great to get new features to play with, but not so good if ati/nvidia end up doing similar with different extensions, or that certain features arent wide-spread supported.
