Great to start at the first page of this thread and watch 1 prop turn into 2 props, then 3, 4 and then before you know it there is a full scene. Nice work mate, looking forward to seeing more of this!
Aside from presentation, sheer volume of work. You should be able to churn props out every 4 or 5 days. In 2 months you should have ~8 more good props.
Back again, now with some quick props. I´m trying to create some kind of WW2 insperation level. So maybe some more props will come soon, if I got the time :)
Today I've worked on a trim sheet And one unique prop but I think it is too busy so I will wait with props after I make some tileable textures and improve lighting in the scene (UE4) (Substance)
Reviving this scene to finish it off. Finished adding the base color to all props now started adding the more detailed color to things. To finish the props off I will be adding a material and see how that turns out.
What Reverenddevil said about the characters being used as prop pieces in the form of statues is genius. It keeps it in the demo reel, displays your character work but also shows you can work props to a good degree.
Personal preference: put the last 4 pieces to be the first, group the first 2 intro props, and put a header image like you have with other ones with the actual props ? Dunno just an idea of rearanging .
Thanks man! To be fair, I did create some of the smaller props included in these shots but our other environment artists, Daniel McGowen (Slagtown) & Konrad Beerbaum (Mine), dressed the scene with all the appropriate props, detritus, and vegetation.
Hey guys! I've been looking for props like you said and these are my main references: If you want to give me some ideas for more props just tell me! I hope you like it! Cheers!
Oh, I'm glad you found it nice! :D I want it to be even more lifely, adding more props, lights, advertising panels, props, etc etc. It should came out quite good, I hope... ;)
