Any amount of study into topology is going to help you. Automated solutions are great, but aren't always going to work or do what you need them to, so being able to get in and fix by hand is helpful, yes.
Skinwrap is a max modifier. You could probably do this with the macro recorder and a minimal amount of programming. Mark posted some nice tutorials a while back(in the site news), that should provide all the info you need.
Divinity Original Sin 2, although your work is likely to suffer for the time you will have spent playing it. Be sure to overshoot the system requirements if you can. There's a certain fight in the middle of the game with preposterous amounts of overdraw.
Cheers Ged ! Ya most race ships (about 9-10) share 1 large texture. There was a huge amount of modularity, this helped us stay true to the schedule, budget but most important push the quality farther.
I'm not sure, but since all Wacom pens work without batteries and use the same principle, it should be fine as long as both Wacom pens have the same (amount) of buttons (which i believe they all have).

There is a "max particle count" setting (in the emitter properties I think) that is set to 500 by default. If changing it doesn't work, there is a "skip spawn count check" in the particle system's properties which will disable all particle amount limitations.
You could do this by having the lower mips of the normal map baked from the softer model and the base normal baked from a tighter highpoly.... but that's an incredible amount of effort to go to for something that will go unnoticed by 99.9% of players.

seems to me like they just focused on multiplayer. In which case, they should go the way of Unreal and make Halo and Halo Tournament. Very dissapointed by the ending too. Especially with the amount of time / budget they had to make this game.
