Yeah I am working with Pixels mainly. I use the polys and rigging as a guide, to key frame my animation. Lower frame rate, though easier to get high pixel density, with correctness. Maybe when I am done making gifs with my stuff, (a learning a hobby thing) I will block things out and consider something more complex. Though…
EmAR: Cheers on the reply :) I think its just the perspective on the 350Z, but you are right, it looks very funky indeed. I may take that off my portfolio altogether, as it was one of my first school projects and doesn't reflect where I am at now. I don't know the original artist's name, but I will look right now, and see…
Hey guys, Thanks for all the feedback I have added your suggestions to my list of improvements, most of which are similar, which is great :D somebody has also offered to create some music and sound effects for me when I have made the improvements that I want to make. I realised yesterday that I hadn't actually shared with…
I think having a quick cut just after frame 79 showing his completed drawing of a demonic hand would really help sell the idea. Then cut back to frame 80 and continue from there. When his expression shifts, have his screen glow, maybe add some lightning effects to the outside of his monitor to show something not quite…
Got a source for "alpha safe"? I can't find any reference to it being used in a 3D realtime context, nor a definition beyond some technique used on 2D brushes. Dithering the alpha test (stipple, or screen door) is indeed a great workaround. It's not a forward rendering thing in particular, and stippling is indeed the best…
What i would suggest for the computer terminal is this 1. Grab some reference of some computer consoles. 2. Build a 'frame' for your screen. Right now the object looks to flat on top. Dont have your buttons/computer image hitting the edge of your object. There needs to be a frame around it seperating it from the edge. 3.…
Thats true I hate doing the whole "blame the victim angle" because it isnt fair to some. But I guess just from my experience with the fact that the people who didnt get into the industry were people who didnt put in work. They spent more time playing games then working on them. There have only been 2 artists who I went to…
Looking hot man. The bolt and sights are hard! Only part that doesn't do it for me is the barrel threading. I'm all for exaggeration for a good rip, but it Looks too rounded and terminates somewhat abruptly. I think something like this would work well: For the low: It's obvious you're going for really clean/tight rips,…
With only 1.5gb of ram you're lucky to be doing much of anything besides running windows. If its a heat damaged system the ram is normally the first to go, so you might want to upgrade/replace the ram when you get a chance, if not replace the whole thing. Heat damage tends to accumulate over time and when it happens once,…
Moosey_G: The sniper rifle was drawn after looking at Shimmering Sword's Concepts but the laser cannon originaly was supposed to be a hand held flamer based of of the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine one but turned into a laser cannon, and the assault rifle is something i drawed while my friend told me what she wanted it to…
