Honestly, It's really dark, I can't make out anything really in the scene at all except for the lights on the server panels. Here's a quick adjustment I did in PS: All I did was bump up the brightness (of everything), and then made it slightly cooler. Can actually see what's in the scene now :)
I wouldn't necessarely use them for front page portfolio stuff but in production everything goes that gets you quicker to a finished asset as long as you're not breaking any copyrights or license agreements. Never heard of custom PS brushes being considered cheating, except for photo brushes in speedpaint competitions.
Are you using any kind of reference material ? Looks to me that you have too much polygons to play with but if that's your thing go ahead have fun , other then that you doing ok with small exception like things in the image below and forearm will need some volume and probably rotation adjustments
@ All: Thanks for the support. Glad you like it. Gatling is coming along. Expecting to finish it tomorrow. Entire Engine Block is one solid mesh. ( with the exception of the Hydraulic lines ) Sorry for only posting a render of the arm alone but I'm tired and it takes way to much time to render the full model. :D
The collections come as one everywhere except Japan. In Japan, you need to buy them per game. Sounds good, but I'm more pissed at how terrible MGS3 looks on 3ds now. It went from the amazing tech stuff shown early, to sub-ps2 level graphics, what the hell?
ya blender does somet things very well, but with the exception of a few people like you, the community is hard to get along with. You mention industry standard stuff like making the controls more standard, or adopting hard and soft vertex normals like maya, and you just get trolled.
my favourite PC collab was the polycount town where you had interchangable plots.. maybe it'd be cool to do one of those pixel art towers ( http://www.mrwong.de/myhouse/ ) except in 3d.. just provide the floor/ceiling template and let people go nuts, then compile em for an animation
Me and some buddies from Dice Sweden were jumped by a like 10 kids at Heathrow once asking for autographs since we were wearing our (extremely cheesy) Dice jackets on our way to ECTS. That was kinda rockstar except they weren't girls, just a bunch of game geeks. :P
Thanks, and yeah the back is pretty blobby. About the the ribs it's supposed to be like carapace, but it would be it's ribs. But I will go about attaching them. as for the legs I based the creature off human size except I extended the arms a bit and made the hands larger. I'll got about the changes though.
only one thing to do, get a replacement electrical ferret, just as good as the real thing, except requires more electrical maintenance, the technicians dress like vets so all your neighbors will just think u have a sickly animal... better than not having an animal at all imo.
