And lo on the 75th day of the 2010th year AD, the lord flooded the earth with animators and creative 3D professionals yet again and there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth.... Good luck to all involved, things are getting better but not nearly fast enough.
MmtoKey is great...maps context sensitive marking menues to a single hotkey. Very powerful. Creative case is making python scripts lik3 Shell Mod for modeling panels. And Hard Mesh is released...kinda like Mesh Fusion for maya
I've researched a bit more and used some creative license to design this small pincushion that I want to use as the seat portion of the throne. I like the design but am not sure if it's too low poly. Lots more experimenting to do :)
@BTolputt, I'm sure the situation will improve, but it might take a while :P It's licensed under creative commons. Find a torrent or download somewhere on the web and then make a donation directly to the Blender Foundation. It's all perfectly legal and encouraged. :) http://www.venomslab.com/

YOU'RE POTATO RACIST! I'm going to be posting here a whole lot more for 2014, hopefully I can manage to post something creative every day. Made in the latest version of Hexels Pro with some photoshop post processing
Spent friday night and part of this morning finishing this thing up. Wasn't the most amazing creativity wise but it was nice to do something fully in Zbrush and just get moving again. Got a bit of a warhammer table top vibe in the end...
Actually he is painting on vertex colors - I'm just being a technicality snob. Virtuosic called it a vertex shader (i.e. vertex program in the graphics pipeline), where it's actually a complex pixel shader that makes creative use of vertex colors.
You guys are the effing best. Thanks so much to everyone who popped in with advice, it's been super helpful. I'm incredibly grateful for the Polycount community, especially in times like this. Very proud to be part of such an awesome group of creative people.
Really i kinda zone out doing UV work, find it relaxing and its fast and easy. Also with creative uv's and shaders you can do some really cool things for optimizing texture space or creating effects.
