I'd definately try and define the wrist a little bit more. Right now his forearm just kinda noodles into a hand. Makes one wonder how that proves to be very functional, yes?
once upon a thyme there was a plugin for older versions of max called color correct and i believe it allowed this type of functionality and things like levels and brightness and contrast, but i havent seen it in awhile.
Thats true, but they could implement on alpha occasions, as I cant show a client my realtime model sometimes. I think that would be easier if they add that in the future, even if there´s a on/off function.
High poly's are too much of a performance issue in animation software. Trying to use them leads to issues all the way down the pipeline, the functional usage of them will in the near future likely only be for static environment assets.
You're gonna have to work in zbrush unified space for the offset function to work correctly. This tutorial was probably the most important zbrush video I ever watched. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e04k4Cz8UBo#t=0
Without any 2D practice, I'd wager you'd only learn the functionality of zbrush's tools. But your understanding of form, proportion, light, shadow will be under developed. There is no tool in zbrush that can give you that kind of understanding.
Awesome! Maya LT 2016 would be ideal. I guess it's possible they stripped things from the menus but didn't disable the actual the function? Thanks! That's available in LT indeed but unfortunately it isn't a very interactive or fluid method.
It looks really nice, but try seeing how it looks with minimal indoor lighting, and try to get more outdoor light to spill in. Isn't it a bit odd for an abandoned building to have perfectly functioning ceiling lights still?
The "extended" versions of Photoshop has 3D painting functionality. But compared to other software, Photoshop is really lacking when it comes to anything but lowpoly graphics (mobile games, browser games, etc) due to lag at higher polycounts.
Ah, but if he used material function he would have a much 'smaller' tree. Question, is there any way to do similar tesselation in dx9/10? How did Crysis tesselate their water in DX9 or on the xbox 360?
