As Cryrid said it's the Z Intensity that alters how inflated the tubes are. Put it on 100 and it will draw a perfectly round tube, 0 and it's flat.

You can just type 0.0001. It will work even if it appears to have been rounded to 0 after you press enter.

Yep - there is a parameter named "Emitter Loops" in the Required tab of Cascade. Change this to 0 and your effect should loop endlessly in-game.
