Thanks @all, doing it with a flat plane and the bend modifier was really the easiest way. All I have to do was to type in -360° instead of 360°, done :)
It should. 360 games control the regions they can be played in, not the 360. I've heard that the PAL (european) version works for all PAL systems and even NTSC-J (Japan).
