This is looking great! I really like all the gear except the boots, which seem pretty clunky and don't really fit with the sleek form-fitting design of his other gear. The face is also a pretty good start, the biggest thing jumping out at me is the odd shape of the furrow under his eyes.
Looks very nice, except I like the rust at the front much more than the back. It seems like it is much more subtile than at the back, it just looks like you went 'meh, that'll do'. Apart from that, it is looking top knotch. Perhaps tone down the spec on the handle. Top work!
I like it, except for the lighting problem already mentionned and also: I think you should remove most of the white peeled-off paint effect on the the windows and doors sharp edges. These things should appear where human-made usure occurs (close to the ground etc) but not everywhere, esp not on the ceiling. Hope this helps!
This happens for me quite a bit. I've found that for me its caused by running Firefox un minimised while running max. so basically if max is overlapping firefox i get the redraw errors. Simply minimising firefox removes the problem for me. Its probably a good idea to minimise everything except max.
I have Graphire4 too, and it never give me any problem since the first time I got it, it's like 2 or 3 years back (except for the annoying pen grip).. Driver problem maybe?..or did you disable the windows build in tablet driver already? it gives you nothing but a problem. _Revel
Started working some more on the floor. I almost 100% of the time make my textures from scratch in Zbrush, using very little photos, except for reference. Would be there any interest in tutorials about how I make my textures? Feels kinda pointless to do that these days, with PhilipsKs tutorials available ;)
Like this, except instead of all that complex stuff just select a loop and clone it into a new object. Then either model your detail into that or use a displacement map or something. Clone it repeatedly, tweak each one's folds a bit so they dont all look the same. if necessary weld some together at the ends so it's…
real shame games worked like this, although dreamcast was the first to do online gaming for consoles and it was largely untested water (ok, except for the snes but that was telephone downloading not multiplayer). I bought a karaoke add-on for my dreamcast but to play the songs I have to connect to a non existant server…
I just got test drive unlimited a few days ago. Im loving it except for the wierd loading lag that you get when driving around new places, completely kills the gameplay sometimes and Ive got an 8800GT. Anyway I wanted to ask, how do I join the polycount club?
Doesn't Day of Defeat use some of these HDR lighting tricks? It was pretty cool except I had to run it at 800x600 Here's something fun to do, get one of the canoes at the beginning, get in it and then shoot the front with the gravity gun while running forward, instead speed boat! Watch out for the killer eels though.
