I agree that a good many of them feel rushed. Given the time you were able to dedicate to them, Im not surprised though. Some of them appear as if they were obviously photosourced, at least in part, and those areas that arent look a little flat. you can definitel start with the main shapes like this but at one point it will just be a ton more complicated to keep it in one piece. if you look at almost any car unless its some super luxury brand (and even then) you will notice the perfect lines arent always perfect. near perfect. but materials work, stuff isnt… -

where are you previewing the model ? in 3ds max ? also be sure to read the part about bitangents , max tangents in older versions arent syncronized to their own baker , so that means that when you preview them on the program it will give you some weird shading errors sometimes , also try to separate the uvw islands as… -

Yeah this looks like maybe a slight improvement over modo's too, really the only features it has are some good symm tools and rembering pinning. Those alone arent worth loading up a different app, and sure as hell not worth shelling out $300. Are max and maya's uv tools still so terrible that theres a need for these sorts…
