Messed around with Marmoset 2 and the Dota Shaders to get a turntable. Pretty quick effort here, it's hard to get Puck's tail displayed without clipping the wings but not too bad.
Here are some Work in progress shots, Some Zbrush Work: First Bakes: Texture work Rendered in Marmoset: First Render after completing my First pass of textures:
Nice work rob,why dont you try a bit of bloom and rim lighting in the marmoset editor. It would add some more interest to the prop. Good work on this man!
Some wear and tear on the slide, grip and frame.. Nevermind the wonky normals.. somehow the viewport shader in max 2014 screws them up. they look nice in marmoset and max 2010
Just out of curiosity how long did the scene take to make, is it being presented in Marmoset? Would be cool to see some wires/flats of the scene itself as well if possible :)
For Marmoset, something like this might be what you're looking for. **edit** this works on a flat plane, Idk about a hemisphere/round shape? :/ Here is the anisotropic direction. Hope this helps! :P
Get a Job you BUM! Looking great man edit: as far as the test...not so much in the flat, but in the marmoset render, the skin is tending way ompalumpa spray on tan orange
Ah! Besides some normal issues on the mesh it looks great! If you'r lazzy, like me, check out marmoset. But then, UDK is a great and fun tool when you know it.
Here is a Work in Progress of a Roman General that I started a couple days ago. Comments and suggestions would be awesome :) Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag, created using ZBrush, Maya, Photoshop.
