I previously didn't see that you where in bone edit mode, yea things get dodgy quick with that turned on, especially with more then one bone linked to the one your editing. works fine in a straight chain... except it doesn't like undoing anything done in bone edit mode. =/
Here's an update on what I've been up to in my spare SPARE time. This is the low poly interior. Seats and additional assets to decorate the train are in production. For now except for some seam and lightmap issues it's all going well enough. Material tweaks are also likely. Shots from UDK
completely agree! im in my final year and have done loads of extra work with tutorials etc, dont expect to just do the work on your course and walk into a job its no where near good enough except for your final year stuff which should be as professional as possible.
i'm thinking of trying that hot-dog-wrapped-in-awesome recipe, except i'm going to use uber expensive sausages, thin sliced steak, some blue cheese, and some home smoked bacon. NOMNOMNOM oh and i prefer lamb over all other meats, if i'm honest.
like many other editors or partly related to their engines I think that the tools are optimized for those 2xtris strips that are always used for terrain engines. Many engines optimize them in the memory and storage because it can be assumed that except the depth (or height as you will) anything else repeats (loop) in a way.
Right on Ely. It was very easy, but fun! Definitely the proper mod for learning to use Hammer. For the next one(s) though try and have it so the items in the map all contribute to the puzzle. The companion cube and 2 turrets weren't there for any reason except... to be there, so it was a bit confusing. Otherwise, nice!
Alright.. Time for another update. Been experimenting with nDo, and I absolutely love it! Nifty little gadget! I'm getting pretty happy with everything except the main, blue area. I can't seem to figure out how to make it look like painted metal. Any help is appreciated!
Just to give you guys an idea, here's the past 2 years. The fantasy one was mostly matte painting, except for the dragon, castle, and spear/banner, which were 3d. For the scifi one I just snuck out of bounds in the Arcorp level in Star Citizen and took some screenshots.
In my opinion, wiki sites are very limited in what they can do and they don't offer any benefits over something similar except for the fact that it's "simple." I'd much rather see an open source CMS like Joomla used with a few plugins to make a much more powerful system.
Didn't Jon Jones work on Gore when he was like 16-17 or something? That's the exception rather than the norm, though. I don't think most people get in until at least 18-21. You could probably get an internship at 16 if you were really good.
