In my case, the character's body itself always stays the same, and some clothing pieces need to be overlayed on top of others (e.g. an open jacket over a t-shirt), which means I can't simply merge all clothes…

As i said I may end up making this part of a set but judging by my history it probably wont so your welcome to make it just be prepared if i suddenly want it for a set :) .
That's some nice stuff. I'm not sure but it almost seems like they based the final models on scanned real people. Still, don't hate me for this but the uncanny part still puts me off..
