Hello guys. Great discussion. A lot of this goes well over my head, but I am trying to learn. I come from a gaming background, but now work in Architectural visualization using VRay, so this stuff takes a slightly different approach. I still try and use a metal/roughness workflow, but the ultimate goal is to have as…
Marco modeled it, someone else textured and rendered it. It's entirely possible the latter was more familiar with rendering in Vray than Marco was at using features that were currently in the beta cycle of their life span? When you go through some of the other galleries (beta or existing), the results that can be achieved…
Did you put your settings in to a preset? Vray tends to default back to default if rendersettings are non preset,i had it a few times, dunno why it does that.seems vray doesnt store the rendersettings in a scenenode, when it gathers data prior to render, except when presets are made
Wow is that ever overpriced. For $1500 you can get much better. CPU: sandy bridge- 2600k or 2500k GPU: Geforce 560 with 2gb vram or better RAM: 16gb (you can get that much for under $100 these days from newegg) SSD: 128gb Crucial or OCZ brand (boot drive) Whatever for the rest. You should be able to get a PC with all that…

Many like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc didn't even exist. I was working at Psygnosis at the time. We used Softimage3D and Alias PowerAnimator as our main 3D packages. But there…
