That's incredibly pessimistic. It's discounting the fact that there are actually people out there figuring out how to solve these problems. What's your *real* issue with this? That someone, somewhere out there is getting paid a lot of money?
lol Yeah, closing all other programs improves the situation by 50% or so, but doesn't really solve the problem. Is the lag completely gone for you when you close everything else?

the HAIRCUT, replace it with long white hair = problem solved also the most important part : his personality, cocky cheesy bastard. it look amnazing tho, maybe will be in my shopping list.
also the other way around... nvidia (mental images) is not making the integraation that easy... but thats an other storry... they are now working together to solve this issue... mr is now a plugin in maya 2013...
Hello there, I have the same problem. (I did 2 UV set on maya, the second for the lightmap) and It is reacting the same way. @Wilog, Howw did you solved your issue ?
Sorry for the late reply, out of home for a while. The problem was solved. Flipped and overlapped faces in the UV layout and geometry. I also put default scanline renderer. Not sure if it's the right choice.
Little Update. I found a similar gun with this color scheme and decided to steal it. Also I re-uv mapped this in its entirety due to texturing issues which appear to be solved.
Just model it? I mean it's just many planes modeled in the shape of feathers stacked together to from a wing. Don't complicate your life by looking for a 'magic' button that will solve the issue.
