PatT192 is right about the shadow. If you do an ambient occlusion bake, it will really help define your textures. And be careful with dDo, it's an absolutely fantastic texturing tool but some of their scratches are pretty noisy and very easily recognizable.
@Quack! Thank you. Totally get what you mean, i intentionally added more information thinking it would help define the metal obviously not. Decided to have a break from it tonight will start fresh tomorrow.
After you've defined a wrinkle with dam standard brush, try a little inflate brush on either side to give it some volume. That'll help avoid the "scratches in wax" look you see a lot in zbrush busts.
why don't you try sending those edges around horizontally instead of bunching them up at the top? There's no extra detail at the top, but there's a gentle curve around the side on your ref pic that could be defined later on.
It's good that you are using subtools, but it needs more perhaps you should tighten up the body a bit more, you know, define the figure 8's in the arms and sharpen up the hands for a couple you know?
sorry, I didn't mean it was a problem for me, just how to fix it (or at least adjust it). They've adjusted the algorithim for 4 and it's different agian though. Ruz, that's an interesting technique and a cool sculpt. will definately have to give it a try.
Looks pretty good, You seem to have the right attitude! as for critque I would work on defined shapes (hard edges). they dont have to be everywhere, but they should be there, esp on the focal points. commit to your shapes and forms!
A little bit more progress on the sculpt, i'm not too sure how far off the form is yet. I think the neck might be too short and perhaps the leg muscles are too defined. Any feedback is appreciated.
ya has nothing to do with the file location on line 116, and 117 there is a variable that is used but not defined anywhere, from his code i cant really tell if it was supposed to be a argument, or a global variable from a other procedure.
Hey man, I think you need to focus a bit more on your silhouette on this last drawing. It's feeling a bit mushy. Define some shapes with stronger straighter edges. Pretend you're drawing fucking superman.
