I will try getting substance pack on black frieday ^^ ...I hate montly pay stuff as for the Normalmap ... I belive bec its from substance to Toolbag, there might be a channel I forget to flip. yeah had proper highpoly
Thanks everyone for the feedback! I have updated my site with some nav buttons on each character page and threw in a wire shot for the sword girl. @haikai- thanks man, I'll be starting a separate thread for that highpoly character soon.
Thanks guys for the comments, I've loosened a heap of the edges, I may need to go further yet though, but it's not hard to do, and I'll see how it goes when I bake. Anywho, I think I'm finished with the highpoly!
Hello , i have good experience in 3D highpoly and lowpoly modeling , please have a look on my portfolio link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmyvcNwcUdA skype id : mohinish_d Looking forward to hear from you !! thanks
What I generally do is before adding control loops to each object I add an edit poly modifier, so if I need to make changes later on it saves time :) keep going though, that's a pretty nice highpoly!
Here's an update on this guy - the most challenging slots are baked and rigged, just progressing with the last remaining highpoly parts now. It's pretty busy visually, but hopefully the texture pass will make it all work ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAEJDOfgp5s
so not really an answer. case to case it changes but any general very basic rule to follow? like say my low poly edge is 90 degrees. How smooth should my highpoly edge be? curved at 45 degrees?
When it comes to the high poly the amount of polys is irrelevant, the question you should ask yourself is does is smooth well? Right now you posted screens with wireframe on so its hard to see any errors in your highpoly.
Did a bit more work on the boots and straps. Hoping to get the highpoly done today. Unless some more feedback comes in that I should address. Been staring at this for ages, could have easily missed some major flaws
I like it very much, the texturing style you have going is very good. Nicely vibrant and a bit stylized, I dig that. As for the highpoly model, the muscles in his chest/stomach area are done relly well. Hats off.
