Thanks for the feedback and comments! If i could go back I would update the cloth to be a bit better like that ref. In the top post, I updated it to have the newest render. Changes include re-working the fire, overall lighting and detail visibility/quality. Fire fluid simulation can be seen here: http://vimeo.com/23195271
Thanks guys, I updated to 4.7 and redid this tutorial and now they finally show up as expected (prior to the update I couldn't get any reflections doing exactly what was in the tutorial, even after adding a spherereflectioncapture). In the level I had something is still wrong, no reflections, but if I remiport the asset in…
If your mobo supports hotswapping, disable it. If nothing has changed in the software or hardware of your computer and this randomly started happening, use your HDD manufacturer's provided test to ensure that the drive is fully functional. like notman said, BIOS update, and if you're running RAID or AHCI on your SATA then…
It has been awhile since my last update since I've been learning and working on things with this project on top of other unfortunate distracts but it is time for a progress update! This is a bit older then where I'm currently am at right now but I don't want to do to big a jump right away so feel free to critique!
I heard from a friend at nvidia a while ago when asking about the 64 bit CS4 plugin, that it would probably not be updated for CS4. my guess is that it wont be updated for CS5 either. Not a big loss though, CrazyBump is 20000000000000000000000000000000000000x better! Xnormal works pretty well too, but crazybump is without…
really nice updates guys. nice to see danr join the frey. very nice arsh, wow. if you could throw down your flats in your next update or when you're finished, that would be much appreciated. i enjoy looking at them, i learn quite a bit just from looking at them.
Nice site - your low poly models are very well presented, but that page will be hard to update when you have lots more models. Remember that if your site is easy to maintain you'll be more likely to keep it up to date, whereas if it uses lots of complex custom images then you'll tend to leave it longer between updates.
ahh okay. i'll leave that for later then? alrighty, as an update for now: BANG! i added boots [gotten used to appending i have] and have done minor changes to the cloth. got some more work to do, but i don't think i'll be posting an update today. i'll see..... but yeah. any and all crits are welcome!
It sounds like you should go update the drivers for you video card, while you're at it, update the drivers for every piece of hardware you have. See if that fixes it. Are you running any other programs at the same time as Maya? Maya 32-bit absolutely works on windows 7, it's not the fault of either piece of software.
Ok, update time. Think this will be my last update to this unless any one picks some thing out that must be changed, so I can get started on my next piece. I would have liked to put more items on the model, especially as its a bit of a sparse market stall. Main textures thanks
