Yeah thats exactly how Battle.net 2.0 is going to be, starting with WoW and StarCraft II, then Diablo III and future Blizzard games. I also heard the older "legacy" Blizzard titles may also transfer to the new Battle.net later. -

you'll need these ports open to be able to play 3724 6112 (Blizzard Downloader) 6881-6999 (Blizzard Downloader) you can probably get away with ignoring the downloader ports, the patches usually end up on fileplanet and the likes pretty quick.
