Re: How to make high quality 3D Coat Brushes for PP Painting?
You'll need to feed 3D Coat height map information directly. You won't be able to get this from one photograph, but you could use photogrammetry, sculpting, or you could just paint the height map by hand or generate it in Substance Designer. -

Did they use 3D laser scanners through point clouds data or even photogrammetry to get those crazy rich environments ? Looking by how accurate this cliffs scene is im wondering if there is a real creative work behind or just a straight "copy" of an existing place ? -

the 3rd one hurts me so much to look at, i love unity, but it feels rushed, first episode still my favorite. The photogrammetry is really disappointing, in the 3rd one, along with some of the background work. But i love the character animations, holy hell. -

They built a custom scanner that uses a bunch of cool photogrammetry and filtering and fancy maths to get accurate maps of all the PBR parameters. They got an awesome PBR Renderer called 3Do showing you that sphere all tessellated, lit and shaded based on real world physics. -

War of the worlds vs shadow of the collosous, fucking cool! Also I like that first shot the photogrammetry is nifty on that building. Can you show a wire of the first building and how much texture ram did you use on that sucker looks quite high res? -

Hi again. MetalPanda and quakeshock thank you both for your feedback. I did a few changes and i think it's a lot better, the thing i'm not satisfied with is the coat and i don't really know how to make it as i'm imagining it. Maybe i'll try photogrammetry for the first time. -
