hi crazy pixel... thanks for the reply... this is just a first model I have modeled. Just to see how zbrush work, but I would like to improve it. Anatomy is not an easy thing... thanks a lot for your advice
Hi EQ, just viewing on my PC. And by too small and cramped, I didn't mean readability so much as I meant the overall pixel height of the header. It's thin. The text itself is quite large in that space.
Agh... I was making good progress on the alphas and brushes, but encountered an issue in which substance designer is outputting extremely pixelated gradients, which aren't fixed by higher bit depth or resolution. Need to look for a solution to that first
This is why I love the people on Poly Count! Thanks pixel! I shall find out what the constraints are and beat this! xD I'll try a quick wooden crate and see how it goes Cheers dude :D
Here's the formula: METERS X PIXEL PER METER divided by TEXTURE RESOLUTION = TILING VALUE So, for example let's say you have a 2m2 wall and a 512 texture: 2 X 1024 / 512 = 4
Just for fun, I ran one of the renders through a few filters and came up with this mid-90s style image. Not sure if it would fit with the pixel art thread or not, given that it isn't really hand-drawn or anything.
Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. Any tips for making my diffuse maps now with UVs that are split apart? Even though its only a few pixels, seems like extra work to get the texture to flow properly.
Quick way to expand the edge pixels in Photoshop... use the Solidify filter from Flaming Pear. It's in the Free Plugins zip: http://www.flamingpear.com/download.html For example http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1785248&postcount=5
^ Try that and also If you haven't looked into it, you can resize the document size. It's usually at like 1200x800 pixels or somewhere around there (depending on monitor size). You could set it higher if you're doing a grab-doc.
Regarding Maya playblast, everything comes out really low res and pixelated, even though I have set it to output at full res. Any help to get a nice playblast to show progress would be appreciated!
