I think you went to fast to add "Stone" detail to it, I would have worked more on the face so it looks more natural, right now it looks like a bad cartoon face, check out some skulls and at least make the proportions correct. apart form that is not bad for your fist Zbrush WIP.
Pretty sweet dude. The noisy normals on the front fender needs to go though I think. I know that you are going for a damaged look but the paint is perfect. I would expect that paint to be coming off and some rust on the underlining metal. Plus the noisy that you have on there right now kind of makes it look like stone.
Say it with me, Relaxed Fingers. Everything else has such a nice weight to it, and since I bet american rubles you won't ever rig this high poly, give it the pleasing look of semi relaxed fingers. That minor peeve aside, it's looky seeexy dude! If you like titties that is. Dirty stone ones. Put cloth on that.
You'd be better off with a tiling stone material in this case. Custom sculpting that stuff sounds hot, but then you see it in game lower rez and of no higher quality than a tiling material. I'd attack this with a solid organize mesh for all of the cave, tiling a rock across it, and using a blend material to remove any…
Id think, at this point everything that you have seen is set in stone, or damn close to it. Things like the lighting system are not going to be tweeked anymore, same with the textures. After all they were showing it off not that long ago. So the game might not be done but as far as the looks go it is. The fans are digging…
Made a few wood pieces today, and some nails. Want to make insert mesh brush to help myself here in future. First few wood pieces i had to delete, there was too much details. Wasted time, but gain expirience. Tommorrow will make some stone pieces too, and will sculpt floor/walls, prior stuff.
Not sure if it's the DOF shot or my dodgy eyesight but your pebble driveway looks to be more like a collection of small stones/rocks, also similarly the grass is not too scale, either?! Which really negates from my perspective, a ton of work already spent on the car, making it seem more like a 'toy' sat in this scene.
Thank you all so much for the comments! I got around and applied some of the recomendations you gave me. I like how it looks tho the bakery and the base feel a bit disconected. Maybe if I added some potted plants? Maybe some small rocks/stones ? I'll keep thinking about it.
Textures are 4k for rhino and ground and 2k for stones. I also used displacement height maps. The enviroment hdr photo is from the awesome https://hdrihaven.com/ You can also check 3d model in Marmoset viewer on my Artstation profile: https://www.artstation.com/placidus I appreciate every comment and question. Hope you…
Here's an idea, has anyone known someone, or personally gotten an admin job in a games studio? It won’t be a stepping stone into the studio itself in my situation but it would be a great way to spend my last 7 months in London (besides working my ass off on my portfolio) to get some insider experience into the industry.
