Hey there urryone. Just gonna throw my hat in the ring on this one. Wanted to do something inspired by the zealous and talented creative community that takes over San Francisco once a year known as Polycount! Heavily inspired by this lovely track:…
I was worried my Xbox would red ring before I finished the series. I just knew in the great somewhere out there, some poor unfortunate soul would have this happen to them. I'm sorry you were the one to get the short straw *butreallygladitwasntme* :shifty:
Throwing my hat in the ring - My schedule is empty and I'm down to make some props! I've worked on a few indie titles in the past (Stanley Parable, Dr. Langeskov) and would love to help out on this one. All my contact info, resume and such are at https://hideous.artstation.com/ Thanks!
The people from Amnesia have a blog, and they discuss their points of views on this matter. This is something that has been references a lot in this thread, so you should check out the blog. I read it all the time as they update, and a lot of what they talk about rings a bell with me. http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/
I would put a supporting loop on each size of the intersection. What I mean by that is essentially a ring of faces that goes around the intersection and angles toward the camera. The skew mesh post from EQ can probably help as well. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147227
Went through a rear windshield on a hatch back car, pulled myself out and ripped a big chunk out of my ring finger. The doctor said that my finger would be numb for the rest of my life, but, it's all good - just a big chunk missing from my finger.
Following on from Reowwww, I notice you're being a bit stingy with the edge loops on some of the details like the ear rings and the strap ... if this is current gen, then for the sake of a few more polys get rid of that. The days of hexagonal oil drums should be well and truly behind us now :¬)
Hey all, Worked on the ring a bit more, getting it to blend with the floor, we are lending alot from Halo forerunner architecture, but try to maintain our own style aswell, st0kje is working on the blockout and got some work on the bigger pillars done so more updates on that later :)
Are there any Lord of The Rings RPG'S I could try? I've played Conquest on the 360 which wasn't so great and I know about the up coming War in the North but are there any RPG's based on Mr.Tolkiens beautfil world for the PC? I'm willing to try anything old and new.
The shield doesn't really match it at this point. I can't tell if it is made of wood or metal. If metal, perhaps change the ring around to grey, shiny steel to match the chainmail. Also, replace the orange circle on the shield with some sort of house or family iconography, and give it a bunch of arrow holes.
