I'm sorry Mr. Monster but I don't feel like wrestling with your thousand wrinkles just yet. Maybe later, for the sake of completion. I do feel like making studies though, and that's what I did this weekend. I finally caught up with the new season of His Dark Materials. When I read the books as a kid I didn't care about…
I always did this type of rounded bevel with the spin tool in Blender. I've also been looking for the equivalent in Maya but so far the closest I've come across is 'edit mesh > wedge'. I hate that it's the one tool you have to be in multi mode to use, also you have to delete the extra faces afterwards :/
Gamestop is only half to blame. I say half because i don't know what came first this new gamer mentality of buying new games to play them for a week then sell them back a week later to buy a new game. Gamestop just helps cater to this trend by pushing them to do this more and more. That's why we hate them, well one of the…
Its just a remake of the old Dota. Though I must say the developers really put their hard work in it. They re-created the interface, characters, and few of the new things. I havent played Dota in a long time but I can tell you this, if you have played it, and have been playing League of legends, you will get hooked on this…

For example --is there an upgrade path? allowing people to pay to fasttrack that could make money --are there multiple…
Right, per-task is the most common, but you still want to figure out your hourly rate so you can accurately estimate how much to charge for the task. There should be a contract signed by both the client and artist for every freelance job. Generally, the client will provide the contract, but sometimes the artist will make…
Hey Jon, Could we see what you're basing your book off? what references are you using to obtain the look you're going with right now? If I could critique on the design itself it's a little bland, there isn't much to the design of this book which will bring an artistically educated audience to the "wow" factor. Because it's…
I wouldnt say having a pro account isn't essential, however it does have some good features that can help grow the attention/exposure part, such as the blogging features where you can share your process or thoughts with other artists and that can help you be seen as an expert in your field. posting your wips and more often…
