Ah, yes. When importing my FBX, I had "MikkTSpace" selected instead of "Built-In" normals in the extra drop down options. That solved it! Thaaaaank you good sir!
Thanks so much, solved it, however lightmass keeps crashing on me when using 4k heightmap. I guess this method isnt viable. Makes the editor really unstable.
it looks Really good and ive looked at their site.. Sadly im getting a crash that cannot be solved on my end.. Running windows 7 64bit... anyone else have that problem
ZBrush + Topogun solves 99% of my problems, hardsurface? just toss in max or maya for another minute after topo'ing. obviously depends on the specific prop but I love this workflow.

Are you using the DistanceToNearestSurface node? I will be putting up everything in two weeks, so you can copy from that if you want :) . Or is it an urgent problem that you want to solve?
I know if you double click on your texture that you imported in the content browser, properties will show up on the right. If change the MIP gen settings to 'NoMipmaps' then this will solve the problem
you want some magic fantasy answer that will solve everything but leave no one offended and actualy require no effort, that is unrealistic.. theres been near a dozen valid suggestions in this thread.
The combat fits the game , It's not a game thats completely focused around fighting, more solving riddles/quests and talking to people. Ofcourse combat is always there thgough. would recommend it, addictgive.
i actually did a report on an article i found once about how games like portal trick the mind into believing that advanced problem solving is fun, it was pretty cool
