He looks awesome @FemCharles! Congrats on finishing and good luck! My only suggestion - bluish-grey material of highpoly render bit hard to read on blue background make one of them warmer, either material or background.
Great! I love squigs, and this is a very good rendition ... reminds me of the miniatures a lot! You should totally do a goblin for a squig hopper too ... I was considering doing a highpoly goblin fanatic recently Cool work!
Does it really need transparency? What happens if you save it just as a regular greyscale image without any transparency, and use it as an alpha? Second question... does your highpoly geometry have enough polygons to hold that detail?
Really nice work on those textures! I think everything looks awesome in the highpoly but i'm a little unsure of his face. Maybe he looks to much like a nice guy? Btw, this one goes to the subscribed ones (:
Ok i've done some more work on this character. I finished the head and done some work on the body. I think i'm ready to unwrap it and do the highpoly stuff in zbrush. The three to the right have the shoulderpads hidden.
You could have a little better. The texture bending can be reduced by adding 2 extra loops. They should go where you have the lines on the highpoly. This is actually fairly common to do. Not in this exact context but in a similar one.
There's nothing wrong with that model nor any need to retopologise. It's fine the way it is. Retopology usually implies that a high detail model needs to have normal baked into it. Low poly models without highpolys absolutsly so not need retopology.
Right now I'm working on this character, Arcanne Zatanna, vased on the concept by Devon Cady Lee Still in the highpoly fase, detailling stuff and correcting proportions Reference> http://gorrem.deviantart.com/art/Infinite-Crisis-Arcane-Zatanna-526340223
First test for the hair cards will work on them some more then need to finalise the textures for model, planning to put some more skin detail into my highpoly and bake down the normal maps again as it seems a bit flat.
Starting to take form. A bit time consuming, this method, but at the end I have a highpoly file that I can go back to if need be and make adjustments. I plan to bounce off this to make other variants that are destroyed versions.
