In case anyone is still following this thread, I've posted a video showing of the latest version of the script over here: https://polycount.com/discussion/216710/3dsmax-make-planar-advanced-script
Hi, If you are using Max go grab Neil Blevins' SoulburnScripts - I use the Wire Maker script for most of my cabling. http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_tools/scripts/3dsmax/soulburnscripts.htm
With 3dsmax character studio and I'm pretty sure with motion builder you can save and load animations between rigs. You can do this with a lot of rig/animation systems out there.
I think i'm done with the head texture, unless there's a suggestion. A better presentation with a better lightning. Hairs are just a shitty high poly mock up using 3dsmax hair and fur
I extensively use keyboard shortcuts, but not in apps like zbrush or mudbox.I use my express keys and the touch strip for that and i don´t use my tablet in 3dsmax(or similar)
from France, moved to Quebec in 2015! If I remember well I found polycount as I was doing 3d for gta:sa mods, and found 3dsmax tutorials or something that is a story mr brian!!
Try deleting your local settings directory of 3ds max. 'C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsMax' should reset the whole user interface
Wasn´t it also possible to use GoZ to Send it back and forth between Zbrush and 3dsmax? Export your lowest subdiv. Add polies here and there export it back and reconstruct subdivs?
Hi guys :) I was wondering if anyone could point me to some good uv mapping tutorials for 3dsmax I've been trying to uv this stupid object for hours now :l
Test bake (normal, cavity, amb occ map) 3dsmax viewport: Also starting something new (probably some more alien-like organic assets) as they're pretty fun.
