Okay, working on the rear lights. Think I've got a fairly clean result, but I'll see what I missed once I start in 3d. Trying to get some deep cuts in the light layout, but I'm not convinced I'll get the glass to follow the cuts.
I would like to join as well! This is my first post here too. Here is my general layout. So now that I've posted something, I have to finish it :) I'm currently working on a tiling brick texture. I'm using Unity for this.
probably best to open up the standard map. I think the overall size is probably good. You can probably find the stair model and use that for height differences, etc.. Don't worry about displacements until the base map layout is tested.
It's the different between doing it like gameloft, or doing it like a chinese company. One will play by the rules, the other will just copy paste. It's not that they're creating the same kind of games, since you can't copyright ideas, it's when they're taking layouts and designs.
very nice, i always found with photoshop it was hard to get an overall grasp of how it looked but amazing control. Had to have marmoset open constantly, sliding towards mudbox more these days. can we see the updated spec/ diff layouts??
yeah I'll work on fixing the artifacts tommorow. Also I really like your portfolio layout, its one if not the best I've seen & your work looks great. Can I ask how long you've been doing 3D?
You can create a second variation of your layout within the project, use coastal erosion to flatten the valleys then blend between the two with a chooser node (use one of the heightmap outputs as blending mask). Works kinda like lerp node in UE4.
Some close ups and layout shot. I may add a little bit more variation to the grass field as it is a little plain as it stands. I've decided I'm probably going to finish this and do the work in UDK as I will learn a lot if I do.
thanks guys, and yep, based off Jean Reno, good eye Nizza Workin on a new portfolio here. Each image will lighten a little as a rollover effect... I'll add more images further down, but this should give an idea of the layout. cheers
The bitmap will fill the 0-1 UV box, no matter what aspect ration the bitmap is. You can change the bitmap scale without having to scale the UVs, though you'll probably have to rearrange the islands, depending on how you change the layout.
