He has an uncomfortable back arch in his back that is sticking his chest forward, it could be the length of the torso and the tightness of the armor around his stomach that's throwing it off too. That's my main crit. Otherwise the colors seem to be doing a good job.
yea this looks really cool so far, do you have a copy of 'the art of georgerrmartins song of ice and fire'? He looks like one of the renderings in that book, which also has some cool armor ideas to get you started =)
molotov is the king of all mad people I know atm.. this is just... unhealthy.. :poly142: oh and i don´t think it´s very animation-friendly what he´d came up with (regarding the armor design).. but anyway.. it´s wow
I'll say it for the 3rd time. Master Chief is a male version of the Oni chick. Take a look at the boots, the arm armor and the rest of the lame ass motocross gear. Also its not like Oni was all that original. Pretty much a rip of Ghost in the shell.
Looks like good popcorny action goodness. Milla Jovovich sure likes being a superhuman fighting actiony vixen doesn't she? I'm with Joolz though, body armor made of glass? Why not just give them paper bags for helmets!
The Monster Hunter CG books - hundreds of armor designs, monster designs in pencil and full color. Absolute goldmine for character artists :D http://cgi.ebay.com/Monster-Hunter-Illustrations-Complete-Set-art-book-/300506866074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f79ae19a
The attention to detail is fantastic, one major issue that I can see is that the helmet is way too small that it appears to be an extension of his head. I would scale it significantly. http://www.securityandsafetysupply.com/media/Body-Armor/PB-nato-swat.jpg All the best!
started working on a female basemesh so i can do some more concepting over it and eventually use it to build my armor on (don't really like the design above anymore) anyway it's a pretty early stage wip but input would be appreciated
The art is inspiring. IMO, the game has the best creature designs and armor sets. And overall, the game is the most pleasing on the eyes. Something the use of normal maps could ruin. A colorful style and simple lighting is all it takes to create a great looking game.
Sectaurs is the newest member of Iron Lore Entertainment! Ian will be working on weapons for us and Blankslaitjoe (formerly our weapon guy) will be moving into an armor and npc slot. Hes actually been here for a couple weeks now and has really hit the ground running. He's turning out some great weapons. Congrats once…
