No I haven't. I did rename and delete the old prefs folder, and reset settings to default within maya, but it still gives me this message. Everything was working perfectly until it crashed and that showed up..
Im using pro, my light is set the the default values as well as the light baker settings. if the light was too strong i would see all the shadows wouldn't i? not just 1 or 2?
I'm not a big fan of the mouse-hover appearance; the image is almost totally obscured when the mouse is over an image. It's more common for the normal image to appear when the mouse is over it, and for the default image to be different.
Solved the problem, my spring arm was set as parallel to the ground and reset to default for a split second when the pawn hit the ground. Fixed it by adjusting the angle so the spring arm started at an angle to the ground.
I was exited to see something I made in-game so I couldn't wait to post a pic. :) The model is without textures exept the default normal map which makes the shadowed lines. x)
Ah you might be right. Im using the default max units, but i am working pretty large. Ill play around with it and see if it fixes any issues. Thank you for your reply.
Simple thing that you may have overlooked - Have you checked the power settings on the monitor? By default, Windows XP will shut it down after so long. Check the Power Options in the control panel.
Ah, thanks. Yes the Windows fonts are set a little larger than the defaults. I haven't installed Max yet, sounds bad! How do you get around the tiny text in Max then?
just change the color of your sss. i am sure this is possible in vray, looks like it just uses a default value of the usual orange red for skin, which mixed into blue yields this result
It would definitely help if you could point us to the setting you want us to use inside 3d studio max so we don't need to guess what is the default that quixel uses?
