Could be the best update yet: http://www.teamfortress.com/demomanupdate/ Pretty excited about the crafting and mini RPG elements, increased speed for every kill. Who knows where they'll push all this in the future!
It would be really awesome if you added some moving elements in there. Maybe make some of those holograms have animation, maybe an arm that has a monitor on it that swivels periodically, or possible some lights that flash.
As far as color palettes go try reading this book as a start [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Itten-Elements-Treatise-System-Johannes/dp/0471289299[/ame] http://kuler.adobe.com is also a great online reference.
What if it'd used as a way to move around the model and select tools? You can still use the wacom for drawing and stuff and use the other hand to control other elements and get it off of the keyboard.
A fine start but as stated earlier,it needs more weathering as the other poster said. I think the windows look rather plane and could use other decorative elements to match the level of detail as the base..
Sounds good, hope they add some solo elements as every now and then I just want to test things out and I don't want to make people mad that I don't play optional.
Selection types are the number keys. For example, in editable poly, 1 is vertex, 2 is edge, 3 is border, 4 is polygon, 5 is element, and 6 exits sub-selection and returns you to the whole object.
Really nice creased sharp lines! You might need to add some small elements on the front part .The distance between the body and the wheels could be reduced. The bottom looks some sort of empty!
Well, apparently I had to select the entire cylinder under element (5), and change the material ID to the bark's in my sub-object material. Still, he didn't have to do that, hence the confusion.
There is the old "box trick". Create a new box, convert that to and editable poly. Then attach your bad mesh to the box, and delete the box element. That usually works for me for clearing out any bad data.
