GOZ is the quickness of it, and because it is able to send vertex colour information to and from zbrush. Which standard objs cant do. If you look into it, zbrush has its own style of obj files which store colour information. Make a mesh in zbrush polypaint it, and export to obj. Than open that in a text editor and you will… -

Best way to display organic HP models
my fav way to render my HP hard surface models is by using the shellac material wth 2 omni's and a skylight. but whenever i do it to one of my busted rock models, it looks strange. any preferred ways to show off a HP model for an organic object like busted stone? examples and tuts would be nice... -

The coast of Almost There is the lifeless, desolate place. Remnants of marine wildlife cover bleached stones and white sand. Been making some of the materials, as well as the pillars (bottom of stairs and at the base of the arch). I also sculpted that dope street stone material, but its gonna take some clutter and blending to make it sit well. Gonna work on a distant building or two next, plus get that wonk factor into some of the buildings… -

Yeah i looked more into it and its certainly not practical, i was just hoping to kill two birds with one stone. I was going to ask what a bridge camera was but i used google, sounds like the name suggests, just a camera between a DSLR and a generic digital camera, sounds like a plan, bridge it is! -

I think the only way you would get refraction on those smaller stones is to model them out. The problem with using a refractive material for this type of mesh is that it would show through to the character's head. So you're probably better off sticking with standard shader methods if you're going to fake the geometry like… -

I think the general shape of it looks good so far but I think you should check how cracks appear in stone. Your crack splits too evenly on both sides also where you placed it is a little weird to me, try to randomize a little bit with thick and thin lines and length
