Ngon's don't play nice with normal maps or game engines but you can freeze the normals and triangulate them before export/bake so that's not a problem. You could export t3d, but the character scales, movement scales, etc are so different that to avoid smashing your skull with frustrations... would be cleaner just to rebuild transfering the BSP is possible though, don't want it to sound like it isn't.
