Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I did go a little heavy handed with of the micro detailing and added more wear than was in the reference. I actually have a question I ran into after I started this thread regarding that. One thing I'm not sure about with substance painter is the normal map. Even after all the detailing,…

MarcoAntonio Thank you. Glad you liked it. I also want you to thank you to be the first person to give feedback. Well, I removed some loops afterward form the pillars. I will post one more update with wireframe as I finish with the main arch. The main scene is already set up. these are the major assets building up the…
Some progress. It's starting to take shape. Still lots of work need: I've been experimenting with using a self illuminated material to bake lighting. It works pretty well and I'm happy with the results. I've have also added a some postprossecing. It's a little heavy at the moment. Aswell as that it adds some weird bright…
Hello All I wanted to create the Iron man sequence when Stark is getting his metal suit on. So I created the below animation for our hero, I started by posing the character into a Tpose, I then with the "direct puppet" created the moves the character would make. I then created the second layer of animation using "Motion…
It's because humans weren't built to perceive from memory. We can recreate the world around us with an astute and profound accuracy if it's staring us in the face, but ask someone to draw a tree, and unless they keep it basic it will come out looking wonky. I think you're expecting yourself to crank out models that compare…
The tightening up really helps here- i'm enjoying the dog's face, the new armor-faceplate, and the marble texture on the pillars. As for opacity, that's more of a personal preference thing... I do tend to paint with opacity set to 100% and also to pen pressure, but it varies by brush. I think the level of crispness of the…
i don't know if anyone replied to the question about Velcro but I stumbled a crossed a method while just screwing around in photoshop. all I did was select the patch of texture I wanted the velcro on and applied a monochrome noise to the R/G channels individually, then normalized the working layer in Nvidia tools. creates…
[ QUOTE ] bwahahahahahahaha! interesting....especially when one of your hobbies include "Women" [/ QUOTE ] yeah. what's your point? I like women. My girlfriend just happens to be one. She's a smart, independent, hard working one too. And she looks great without spending hours each day painting her face. That's rare. […
Looking pretty awesome! Not every edge needs to be scratched exposed metal. You can highlight and pronounce edges in other ways. A slightly lighter diffuse edge with slightly brighter spec works great. When you have ever edge damaged not only does it stop making sense, but it starts to become noisy. A good way to do damage…
