Hello all! My update for today is some curtain blockouts! I'm liking the variety i've got in terms of some being wrapped around and some being knotted. I've searched the internet for some tutorials that show me how to tackle the tassels, but for now i've got no luck. Does anyone know a way I can easily get some tassels as…
Nothing wrong here really. Artistically speaking, it's up to you if you want to add a few more polygons to that upper lip since it's starting to betray it's low-poly nature. Also it's a bit strong of an indent angle, you could angle it a little less so it reads a bit better. Lots of building trims around doors and windows…
I am having the same issue I tried searching internet but this is the only link I could find useful to me but when I clink on link it says expire can you please help me
@Ashervisalis Thank you for answering. I didn't make a concept art, but I was inspired by this concept art : https://www.artstation.com/artwork/4bNlJW made by Jeon Hyun Ho and I understand with is stylize. The main reason why the texture is similar, because it made with the same trim sheet. My wood texture is make…
Pretty good progress so far! Only a couple of things stick out to me: -The highlights should be more of a teal cast rather than white (That's just the color of the flames' lights on the statues, I think?) Be sure to put in a specular map that's brighter on the corners and edges, and less shiny on the surface faces -The…
haha oh man, cool idea. not really feelin the green though. Makes me think poker table. the device holding the lighting in place is a bit clumbsy looking- I`d imagine something much more eloquent and minimalistic. The structure you have now has a bit of a carousel vibe. The top beams don't bother me in the scale…
What gsokol said. You might also want to think about how these things tile, the siding of a house might only tile horizontally, maybe you want to use thirding for it. Trims tile horizontally too, look to pack as many of these horizontally tiling things into the same map to reduce draw calls. It's one thing if you have a…
Oh Jessica you are amazing :poly136:, yeah I've been more careful I add more trim on the edges and more hand paint. That dark stuff it's supposed to be a bark do you know? As if it's above to this clear wood. I admit it's been hard to figure out a way to write this values on wood color / every dig are disappointed / I see…
Hmm. The video looks pretty cool; however, a lot of times you're going to need a specific design and it may be easier just to quickly model. In addition, how will these models smooth? It says it creates relatively smooth geo, but if you have to spend an hour cleaning it up, it's not worth it. From what I've seen by reading…
I would seriously step back from doing any type of zbrush / polish, and focus on your blockout. Spend a good day or two blocking out the shapes for the castle, get your scale right and nail down where everything needs to be. From there you can start refining your shapes alongside creating tilable and re-usable texutures.…
