Problem is if your going is shaping up to be a good success your going to be making a sequel even if it should be left at 1. Sequels are great for multiple reasons if the prior game was a hit. Easy to reuse shit, lots of the hard shit is already worked out so you can concentrate on making the game even better. Established…
Okay, for my next project I was inspired to make a mage's staff based on Hawke's staff in the Dragon Age 2 demo. I'm thinking about implementing some or all of the elements in my references into this staff. My initial thoughts are to use some type of blunt (like the Ulas in the top left or the meat hammer on the bottom…
Ya I really don't like having to click that arrow to see your other work. I would recommend putting them all on the front page, and putting your info on a separate page. I did not see the arrow till a the millisecond before I closed the site. It caught my eye right before but it was too late, the site was closed already.…
The lamps are the weak point here; they're all identical (in model, hue, AND brightness), it just doesn't seem plausible (all brand new bulbs?). They're also placed on seperate buildings (think seperate owners, seperate contractors, different styles of lamp) and opposite one-another. Surely it makes more sense to alternate…
You can break down the building details into strips of repeating elements, and stack those strips all together into one atlas, which tiles left-to-right. You could also pack a couple one-off elements into the same atlas. Then the up/down+left/right tiling textures can be their own separate maps. Brick, stone blocks, etc.…
I think you bit off a little too much. As Rmunday said, over 2 minutes is a lot. Your weakest aspect of it all is definitely the camera. My suggestion would to be to focus on the fight sequence, but ditch the camera work for now. Make sure the animation is perfect before you start moving the camera all around. For the…
When they say the topology could use work I don't believe they mean remove polys, I think it's more that the polys could be arranged in a better way. It's difficult to see from the one fixed angle, could you show a side on of the sofa as well as a view from the back. Textures look nice, there is work that can be done on…
More padding helps, should be at least 4 pixels for 1024x. Also helps to fill the empty in-between areas with 128,128,255 instead of black, so there's never a bleed problem. Don't use JPG because it's lossy, use TGA instead. You've got the right shader on the end of your image there. Ambient Texture slot is for the…
So I've been working on wall climbing stuff. You’ve got your basic vine wall, whereupon you can climb in any of the four directions https://gfycat.com/ThriftyReliableBluefintuna Then ledge mantling, either when you reach the top of a climbing wall, or leap onto a ledge https://gfycat.com/EverlastingBabyishDodo…
[ QUOTE ] 22" wide main LCD and 19" CRT [/ QUOTE ] Same here. Photoshop on the CRT with the pallets extended off to the main widescreen. Max on the Widescreen with its floating pallets extended onto the CRT. When you switch apps the pallets for the other hide behind the current app. Max is on the wide because color doesn't…
