What would you like to do exactly? If I understand your intentions correctly, so you would like to add custom functionality to the editor, I'm affraid the only way is C++.
Thanks Gir! I did some googling and found out the same functionality is in Maya through Transfer Attributes. I'll give it a shot when i get back from work tonight.
does the object have uvs? if it does maybe using the function that flattens the object in uv master I think that's what it's called, might do the trick. I have never tried it though.
Thanks for your answer Noors it solved alot. I cannot seem to find/bind the "Connect Vertex" function or the Chamfer (with options) either. I don't know why it's this difficult.... Thanks in advance.
Didn't even know this thing was still around, is it even in development anymore? I'd try Bitmap2Material if I were you. Haven't used crazybump in ages but iirc B2M functions very similarly.
Been goofing around with some ideas lately, I still have a lot of blocking out to do specifically with functionality but we'll see where it goes! Pretty rough blockout for the most part.
Putting a slowly panning Perlin noise texture into the Light Function of your main Directional Light should do the trick. https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/LightingAndShadows/LightFunctions/index.html
If it was flipped wouldn't it not show the texture at all? Also, do you know if blender has the functionality to "show" if UV's are flipped (like in 3dsmax, where it would colour the island red instead of blue)?
Heres some progress in the clip of the weapon, bullet still using bases. would love critiques, i tried to add functional damage based on how the clip makes contact whith the gun
You can export quads directly from MD. Or am I missing something? This does look like it has some nice extra functionality though. Also, maybe a catchier name....... :)
