Some important info about using it... you have to be in a Perpective viewport and you have to be above the surface looking down towards the z=0 grid plane. So, it's kind of fiddly. Pav3d: The hair was painted in MARI. I tried a lot of different techniques for this model (including rendering fiber mesh in ZBRush), but hand painting the hair turned out to be the best one. Trust me on this, one cannot paint that kind of stuff convincingly if there is no good mass definition to hold it up. Thats the reason why yours look like they are "sharpied on" - its just a thin black make-up line on yours, because you assumed that, since it deep, it must be black. Thanks for all the replies guys. Merging the hairs into the head slipped my mind, I'll take care of that and try pushing and pulling some of those darks. I intentionally avoided dark edges, I think what is actually the problem is not the darkest darks not being dark enough, but the 'light' darks not being light enough. We… -

Will you be printing in color? I might be better to get a separate printer and scanner if you are just going to be printing off black and white documents. Laser printer are much cheaper and more reliable in the long term compared to inkjet.
